Lisa Butler has always loved fashion. At the age of 7 she began creating and sewing Barbie doll clothing. She knew then, her passion was to be in the world of fashion. By the age of 13, she wanted to be a student at the FIT, requested a catalog and knew she would be a student of this famed fashion college. Specializing in Lingerie Design at FIT enhanced her innate talent fit to the body mentality and an understanding of how well fabrics with Lycra address both technology and functional needs for women’s apparel, while sculpting and accentuating the positives of a woman’s body.

This rooted her career design philosophy in creating lingerie, swimwear, dance wear and active wear for such American brands as Reebok Sport Fashion Swim, A & H Sportswear Inc, Danskin, The Olga Co and Bill Blass Swimwear.

Her love of creating stretch apparel innovative garments gave way to her researching fitness apparel trends and swim wear functional needs by living the research experience herself. Lisa holds an instructor certification status in Zumba Gold (exercise dance), Aquatic Exercise Association (water fitness) and The American Red Cross (life guarding). She lives in her world of innovation and consistently seeks new ways to enhance the garments she and others wear. These certifications help her to connect directly with the female sport enthusiast to understand consumer’s wishes, dreams and demands for well fitting, functional, flattering yet fashionable sport swimwear.
